Due to it being winter, I decided maybe one of my models could wear a fashionable woolly hat. These days woolly hats are considered to be a really trendy accessory, as shown above by a member of Little Mix (pop girl band). I believe this would look perfect on one of my models as not only does it connote warmth, but it also connotes style and fashion- this is an important convention for my pop magazine.
Here is a member of 'The Saturdays'- a well known pop girl-band. In this image she's wearing a fashionable scarf to provide warmth and as a fashion statement. Due to my winter theme I may also have my model wearing a fashionable scarf as often you see those from the pop genre wearing them. This would suit my magazine perfectly.
Over the past few years the checkered shirt has become more and more fashionable, especially around the winter months. This style of shirt is popular among celebrities from the pop genre as I've noticed it's become extremely common recently. I think this style of shirt connotes sophistication, yet style.
I may also have one of my models wearing a Parker coat. These coats seem to be worn by many pop celebrities and I think they look extremely trendy. The fluffy hood has become extremely popular in shops, therefore I consider it to be the latest fashion craze. I think my model will look fashionable and trendy by wearing this item in the photo shoot.
I may also dress my model in skinny jeans, these are extremely popular among pop celebrities. By dressing my models in these it would connote style and fashion. Skinny jeans are worn by many teenagers and those in their early 20's, therefore this style would relate to the audience extremely well as it's affordable and they connote a chilled vibe.
I've also decided that a converse style shoe looks perfect for the 'pop' look, this is because 'converse' are an extremely fashionable brand which are popular among my target audience age. I've also picked up on many celebrities from the pop genre wearing this style shoe such as members of Little Mix, Rita Ora and members from the girl-band 'The Saturdays'.
